Sean Schmidt will update the Association on our 2020 session lobbying efforts.

Bill Cannon of Wealth Enhancement Group will discuss the recently passed Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020, which includes the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement Act, known as the SECURE Act (Act). Although many of the provisions included in the Act are intended to make it easier for employers to establish a new retirement plan, the Act includes several provisions that will impact existing plans, and others that may impact your company’s plan depending on how it is structured. The Act also includes provisions that affect Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA).

Jon has been working on Google campaigns since 2001 when Google was still the new kid on the block. He has worked with a variety of companies in the HVAC and home services space and prides himself on taking a strategic yet results-oriented approach to drive leads for his customers that produce positive ROI. What began as a marketing internship at a small technology firm turned into a director of marketing position at a $40+ million organization within 10 years. During that time he spent his days stuffing 30,000 envelopes, putting together a traveling roadshow for 1,000+ attendees and learning about this new ad platform called Google AdWords (Yes, his first campaigns were built using an excel spreadsheet). After working at several marketing agencies, he began Southernmost Digital while sitting on a beach in Key West. He now helps HVAC, home service pros, and other organizations drive leads through online marketing channels.
